On May 25th 2004, Nick At Night was invited to
perform on Mackinaw Island.
Davisburg Elementary School in Davisburg, MI (in the
Holly School District) brought us to the Murray
Hotel for a night of fun during their school field
trip.
Getting a Disk Jockey service to Mackinaw Island is
no easy task. After the 3 hour drive to
Mackinaw City, we had to unload the van and load all
of our equipment onto a ferry boat. Once we
set foot on the island, we had to push a luggage
cart a mile down the road to our hotel.
Mackinaw Island has no motor vehicles, so it was all
moved by hand.
After
we performed at the event, it was back on the ferry
boat again for a ride to the mainland. It was
a great trip because it marked the farthest distance
we have ever traveled in our company's history -
since 1994. We performed at a prom in Detroit
the very same day we arrived home from this trip.
Now that's dedication. As we always say, the
best never rest!
